Comprehensive Instruction
Whether it’s group, individual or workplace meditation, and though we will customize your instruction to your needs and interests, here is some of what you will receive…
A Classical Meditation Technique
You will be instructed in a basic foundational meditation sequence that once learned offers endless possibilities to create and keep your practice fresh and uplifting. The sequence always includes 3 stages.
1
RELAXATION
In order to sit still for even 5 minutes, the body needs to be relaxed and the mind settled down ready to focus. For most, this is not our set point so we learn specific practices to ready ourselves for meditation. With practice, it soon becomes second nature.
2
CONCENTRATION
We explore the ‘mind-breath’ connection and learn a classical concentration technique to calm, focus and internalize the mind. A mantra is used as a second point of concentration while sending a vibration of peace throughout our consciousness.
3
EXPANSION
Meditation practice can easily become defined by the concentration technique, and while still beneficial, it then misses most of the point of meditation, which is to enjoy and experience time spent in the stillness that exists deep within, but oh so near to our every day state of being.
David’s meditation series was very helpful. He is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. The techniques and information he provided has helped guide the way for me to embark on my own meditation journey at my own pace.

View BrochureUnderstanding Meditation
The word ‘Meditation’ has a dual meaning: it is both something we practice, as well as a state of being. Though Meditation has become mainstream, it still may be mysterious to some and having a clear understanding of what it is and how it works is essential. We always take as much time as we need to fully comprehend where we are heading with plenty of time for Q&A.
Dispel Meditation Myths
Meditation is neither ‘stopping your thoughts’ or sitting down to ponder or contemplate life. There are no prerequisites and while some may be more predisposed for deep meditation than others, almost anyone can benefit. Understanding what meditatation is NOT is just as important as what it is.
You will Discover what Your body needs to be able to Sit Comfortably for Meditation
In meditation it is our wish, our desire and our intention to experience deep inner peace. If you are not completely comfortable you will simply sit and think about how uncomfortable you are. Instruction for sitting, whether on the floor or in a chair is customized to your body and comfort with suggestions for props and supports as needed.
Meditation As a Life Skill
Every meditator experiences a variety of challenges to meditation – you are not alone. There are many practical tips to give you a leg up on developing and enjoying the gift of meditation. We’ll cover topics such as habit development, comfort, where and when and for how long to meditate, creativity in your practice, meditating with others and what to do when your practice gets stale.
It has been a blessing to have David join the office for weekly discussions/meditation. While guiding conversations including topics such as mindfulness, gratitude and presence, David has gracefully encouraged me to more conscientiously explore the root of certain emotions as they may arise throughout the day.

Inquire HereAffirmation & Visualization
Throughout the day we entertain thoughts that are derived from habitual patterns of thought and conditioning that escape our awareness – this limits us. An affirmation is a powerful tool for the conscious meditator, giving us a chance to take back our self-talk and send higher truths throughout our consciousness for our highest good.
Visualization is a powerhouse that when used with intention toward higher awareness and uplifted goals, supports not only our meditation practice but our success in life no matter the endeavor.

Energy Awareness & Control
Through simple breathing exercises and other techniques such as the Energization exercises of Paramhansa Yogananda as well as the Superconscious Living Exercises we can not only become aware of our conscious energy, but learn to direct it toward our goals, including the goal of deep meditation.
“Realizing that man’s body is like an electric battery, I reasoned that it could be recharged with energy through the direct agency of the human will.”
Paramhansa Yogananda
Heart Opening Practices & Inspiration
Intellectual understanding is helpful and something we all desire. But to uplift your practice into something deep and rich, there is nothing like the grace of devotion. Without tuning in to that which most wants to be known within us our practice can soon become mechanical. Explore the beauty of letting go into all that is possible, the creative joy within you by infusing your practice with the feelings you most wish to experience.
